Whenever there is something special going on in the world, Google always knows how to get some attention to it (Charles Dickens was trending worldwide on twitter today). Getting attention to it by having Google Doodles on their homepage, for example of all the different sporting and historical events.
Just like they have today. 200 years ago Charles Dickens was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK. He’s the writer of David Copperfield, Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby and A Christmas Carol. I read some of his books and off course seen some of the movies that have been based on his books. And after reading about him here (site is in Dutch) i discovered that there is a Dickens museum in London. Next time i’m in London, visiting this museum is a gonna be a given!
